This episode didn’t answer a lot of our questions from last week’s Blacklist, but did bring about a whole fresh crop of new ones for us. How about you? We were stunned to hear Tom (Ryan Eggold) and Liz (Megan Boone) aren’t married. Will they actually get married?
Another shocker was watching Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) cook a nice pasta for one of Dennison’s contacts. Dembe says “I find I catch more flies with honey.” We are starting to be very fond of Dembe! Does his plan work?
In this episode it seemed that Liz was really working on Red’s (James Spader) behalf and was LOVING it. We think she was truly in awe of his ability to get the FBI to finance his trip to Italy plus a major shindig, watch him intimidate the innocent owners of a magnificent home on Lake Como into “borrowing” their house, catering the party and even playing piano for Red’s guests; commission a forgery of a Rembrandt to give to Greyson only to turn around and have Greyson arrested for theft!
Then as only Red’s luck would have it, he ends up with a Picasso in his back pocket as a result of putting Greyson’s house staff in a tizzy by acting as one of Greyson’s attorneys. He has them burn every document in the place and give him all electronic records. “Oh and by the way, ‘Miss Chloe’ (aka Liz) grab that fabulous Napoleon diamond necklace Greyson took from the museum and let’s go!” Whoops – wait! Can’t forget to take that little penny, worth $3 million.” We are with Liz – we are shaking our heads too.
Could it be possible Liz is enjoying this a little too much? Might she be considering joining Red’s team?
Somehow we don’t think Tom is appreciating Red. Just wait until Red finds out Tom has the suitcase full of bones! Or, do you think he already knows?? After a very awkward toast between Liz, Tom and Red, it seems all of them are thinking ‘exactly what and how much do these people know?’
NBC didn’t give Aram (Amir Arison) and Samar (Mozhan Marnò) any air time this week. Hopefully we’ll know more about them soon. The same with regard to Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff); although he was able to convince his doctor friend into helping Liz. It should be interesting to see where that leads.
This episode, in my opinion, was much more interesting than the last one. And, it was nice to see Red getting back to his normal crazy self. Share your thoughts, comments and questions. I’d love to hear them.
