The father of Honduran child to appear on July’s Time magazine’s cover is not as it appears to be.
Far from it, in fact, as most of us have heard by now.
By now we’re all familiar with the term “fake news” and many, unfortunately, have come to expect it. An uproar started this week when Time magazine revealed the cover of their latest edition discussing illegal aliens crossing the border, and the children who may become separated from their families as a result.
However Time has found itself in a bit of a pickle as the photo used on the cover is of little 2 year-old Honduran girl, Yanela Sanchez, turned out to be misleading. The Time article insinuated that the girl was separated from her family – but her father says that is not true as explained above.
Time is fake news. The little Honduran girl in the photo was brought to the US by her mother, against the father's wishes, and separated from the rest of her family in Honduras. Her mom paid a coyote (human smuggler) thousands of $$. The mom and daughter were never separated.

Also involves a smuggler, which the media continues to severally downplay https://t.co/pKB3lmvz3j

Actor James Woods lends his opinion.
This story is now being used as propaganda against the American people. Where are your fact check sources to corroborate the father’s claim?
